A couple of years ago I kept telling myself some absurd things, I hated the way my life was going and I hated life itself, I always wished things were different I always focused on the negative stuff in my life. I kept blaming others for everything, I would find millions of excuses to avoid my life, my mind was trained to only see the bad in everything and I say bad because I will literally find the fault in the tiniest things in my life but I am grateful that I had the courage to dump the old me and change my life and that all started with one decision, the decision to upgrade my mindset.

Through those years I learned that life is a train that passes by your front door and every day you decide either to ride it or be the person who sits near the railroad and waits for the right one to arrive {and let me tell you a secret the right one never comes}.

on that note the only way you can ride this train is by changing your mindset,

so how can you upgrade the old thoughts into new ones that support the life you are trying to build:

  1. read new books: discover books you never even thought of holding, if you were someone who didn't read at all, make a routine for yourself where you at least read the minimum, even a page will make a difference, Read books from great minds to understand and adapt their thinking. Read books about how the mind and brain work

and finally, I love this quote from Educated by Tara Westover

At best I was two people, a fractured mind. She was inside, and emerged whenever I crossed the threshold of my father’s house. That night I called on her and she didn’t answer. She left me. She stayed in the mirror. The decisions I made after that moment were not the ones she would have made. They were the choices of a changed person, a new self.
