You know when you have been productive for like weeks and months and then suddenly the world stops and you just don't wanna do anything anymore, but wanna lie in bed not wanting to get out, and you keep asking yourself what is the point of being productive and it gradually gets worse everything you have been building for the past months just crushes in front of you and you feel like nothing is gonna work anymore you really wanna get out of there as fast as possible. and if that continues you may never be able to get out and through time I have developed a way to get out of there as fast as possible:

Accept that you are in a rut: and just let yourself rest rather than pushing it too much, if your body is begging you to give it a rest listen to it the world isn't gonna end if you take few days for yourself and try some of the following:

  • mindless relaxation
  • spending time with loved ones
  • having a balanced meal

“Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.” — L. Frank Baum

Figure out the why: get to the roots of it, as Ruts can have varied, complex causes, usually, something triggered it and you weren't aware of it, it might be a tiny little thing as someone asking you to do a project or a decision you’ve been avoiding to make, and kept telling yourself every time you defer them that they can wait, but you know, deep down, that isn’t the case and the more you evade it, the more it will get bigger and bigger, you need to act despite the discomfort and remember no matter what the cause of your stagnation is, you are capable of rising above it.

Just Get Started:

use the do principal as actions inspire rather than waiting for a big epiphany to hit you so you can do that project just do it and start small with the tiniest achievable goal that can make you get closer, Start breaking down your to-do list, categorize tasks by their difficulty, and duration, this will enable you to tackle the list far more strategically and, as a result, get things done in a much shorter time than you’d expect and at the same time it will make the blurry and overwhelming goals you have transform into manageable steps.

Be a little bit impulsive and get out of that comfort zone: just get out of your bed and just do something you have never done before without worrying about anything else this will motivate you to do more stuff.

Finally,

You are still a human with flaws and faults you will have good and bad days. But don't let your slow bad days be forever and try your best to climb out of that rut and be back on track.

“As it peaks over the horizon, does not a sunrise whisper the opportunity to try again. And if the day passes and our efforts were stunted by the bane of our insecurities or blunted by the challenges of life, does not a sunset invite us to rest before it whispers the same message the next morning?”
