I know most of us struggle with planning and what's more, is in the getting things done phase that we get stuck but lately, I have been following few steps which I will mention below that helped me do a lot of things done and here they are:

Identify your top goals: what are you trying to achieve throughout this week by knowing what your monthly plan is, this can be a lot easier as blocking things out will take less time, Decide what needs to be done as I will assume you have already Planned Your Month (effectively), be specific by writing three or four tasks as your main goals, and then create some mini-goals write all those down on paper.

Create a schedule: You can use Google calendar or Notion which are both great, catalog your activities, divide them into buckets of priorities and non-urgent tasks, write down the deadlines of each one of them, and put all those things into your calendar.

Create time blocks: For the things that you do every single week, like eating lunch, sleeping, waking up, and exercising block off time for those things.

Plan extra times: where you can add 10 extra minutes to tasks that take longer than an hour or more, I also prefer to make the last hour of the day free so I can wrap things up just to make sure I won't have things to do tomorrow.

Plan your Week before it Starts: apply the “Donner du temps au temps,” which means “Give time for time.” as the late French President François Mitterrand used to say.

Your weekly schedule should provide you a bird’s-eye view of your week and what needs to be done as well as your tiny daily habits,

Do a daily review and weekly review: One of the best ways to ensure that you stick to your planning is by auditing your calendars each day and week. review what was done throughout the day, what you failed to do what caused that and have, and a time to appreciate your self don't forget to pat yourself in the back once you finish your daily tasks.

“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.” — Tom Landry
