Your morning routine sets the tone of your day, it is your daily constant that acts as the lighthouse in the storm and it’s the time that keeps you checked on course and sane no matter what life throws in your way.

Although the perfect morning routine doesn’t exist, You must master a consistent morning routine to achieve your highest level of productivity, a nearly perfect routine consists of:

  1. Creating a not-to-do list and preparing for the rest of the day
  2. Doing Something that’s of value to you
  3. Doing something for your Mind like reading, and your body (do some exercise), and for your soul (do some meditation) or listen to something that makes you happy,

Your morning routine sets you up for success — for the rest of the day, week and year!

But how can you actually make a productive morning routine that works for you:

Identify what’s important to you First, define what you hope to get from a productive morning routine, as waking up early must have a reason, keep asking yourself what do I really wanna achieve from doing this, and why do I want these things,

How you spend your night will determine how your mornings look like: if there are any tasks you can do to make your mornings less troublesome do it at night, what I actually like to do is plan my entire day the night before as that gives me a guide of what stuff I need to tackle before I go to bed, by this you can make a vague idea of your to-do list and also if you want to wake up early make sure you go to bed early,

If you start by quickly looking over the time you’ll spend for the day, then you have a map to guide you through your day and to lead you.

Decide what you want to achieve: Success begins the moment you step out of bed, so mark out the things that needs to be done for the day and how long each will take from you, it is preferable to use the Rule of 3 where you identify the minimum three outcomes that you want for the day.

Eliminate Decision-Making Tasks In The Morning

“If the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long.”

Move Around And Hydrate: Do some exercises and drink lots of water

Personalize: as each of us is different, you should set up your morning routine according to your liking and what really makes your day feel good and special but the most important thing to keep in mind is that these decisions must be personal, What’s best for your body and mind’s natural rhythms might differ greatly from mine.

Some things you can do to make your mornings personalized:

  1. Read a book/listen to an audiobook
  2. Do a 10 min yoga
  3. Write an article or journal
  4. Take your vitamins
  5. Learn a language for 20 min
  6. Listen to a podcast
